Setting up the Team App for the first time

This article provides information on using your PitcheroGPS Team Bundle for the first time.

Overview

Welcome to the PitcheroGPS Team App.

After purchasing the PitcheroGPS Team Bundle, the Team App is used to manage the team's staff roles, players and tracker assignments, and session data.

Any admin, coach or analyst of the team can have their own account to manage/view the team's sessions.


 

Download the PitcheroGPS Team App, create an account, and an organisation

Step-by-step guide:

  • Click here to download the PitcheroGPS Team App on your Windows or Mac desktop

  • Once installed, open the app, click 'Create Account', and enter your details

  • Verify your email address
  • Click 'Create Organisation' and enter your activation code (this is provided directly to you in an email)
  • Enter your organisation details (e.g. club name)

You are now ready to manage the organisation using the PitcheroGPS Team app. The next step is to create a team(s), add staff roles, add players, and link trackers to players in the team. See the sections below.


 

Add other admins, coaches, and analysts

Step-by-step guide:

  • Load the PitcheroGPS Team App on your Windows/Mac desktop
  • From the Dashboard screen, click your profile icon in the top right corner of the screen
  • Click '...' (three horizontal dots) next to the team name to load the Staff screen

  • Click '+' next to Staff at the top of the screen

  • Enter the new user's details

    • Their email address
    • Their role (e.g. Admin, Coach, Analyst)
    • The team(s) assigned
  • Click 'INVITE'
    • The user will receive an email invite to download the PitcheroGPS Team App and create an account.

Add players and assign trackers

Add players

Step-by-step guide:

  • Load the PitcheroGPS Team App on your Windows/Mac desktop
  • From the Dashboard screen, click 'Players' from the left menu (running icon on the collapsed menu)

  • Click '+' next to Players at the top of the screen to add an individual player

    • Or download the template to upload a team sheet of players.

  • Enter the player's details; first and last name (other details are optional)

  • Click 'CREATE'

Assign trackers

Step-by-step guide:

  • Connect the charging dock to the mains power and to your Windows/Mac device
  • Load the PitcheroGPS Team App on your Windows/Mac desktop
  • Select the team from the drop-down menu (if your organisation has multiple teams)

  • From the dashboard screen, click 'Trackers' from the left menu (the tracker icon on the collapsed menu)

  • Click 'SCAN FOR TRACKERS'

Charge and sync trackers to players

Step-by-step guide:

  • Connect the charging dock to the mains power and to your Windows/Mac device
  • Load the PitcheroGPS Team App on your Windows/Mac desktop
  • Select the team from the drop-down menu (if your organisation has multiple teams)
  • From the dashboard screen, click 'Trackers' from the left menu (the tracker icon on the collapsed menu)
  • Click 'SCAN FOR TRACKERS'
  • Click 'EDIT' at the top of the screen

    • Or click 'Auto-assign trackers'
  • Select a tracker ID from the drop-down menu

Once the trackers have been synced with any changes made on the PitcheroGPS Team App, the charging dock can be disconnected from your Windows/Mac device but remain connected to mains power to continue charging the trackers.

The trackers should already have some charge and take no longer than 1 hour to fully charge. The screen on each tracker will show whether the tracker is charging/fully charged while in the charging dock and connected to mains power.

Record a session

Use the PitcheroGPS trackers and vests for each player in the session to record data.

Checklist for before the session

  • Check each tracker is fully charged
  • Check each tracker is assigned to the correct player
  • Hand out each tracker and vest to the assigned player
  • Check each tracker is turned on with a GPS signal
  • Check the tracker is placed securely in the player's vest

Checklist for after the session

  • Collect each tracker and vests from players
  • Turn each tracker off to stop recording data
  • Return each tracker to the charging dock for safekeeping and to charge ahead of the session transfer

Transfer a session

Step-by-step guide:

  • Connect the charging dock to power and to your Windows/Mac desktop
  • Open the PitcheroGPS Team App on your Windows/Mac desktop
  • Select the team from the drop-down menu at the top of the screen (if your organisation has multiple teams)
  • Click 'Add Session' ('+' if using the collapsed menu)
  • Click 'Scan for trackers'
  • Click 'Continue with X selected trackers'
  • Enter the session details
  • Click 'Submit'

It can take a few minutes to transfer the session for every tracker (approximately 30 seconds per tracker depending on the session length).

Do not remove a tracker from the dock, disconnect the dock, or close the Team App while the transfer is in progress.

Once completed, the session will be ready to view on the Dashboard screen.

View session data

Step-by-step guide:

  • Load the PitcheroGPS Team App on your Windows/Mac desktop
  • From the Dashboard screen, see a list of recent sessions in the Latest Sessions screen.
  • Click '>' (right arrow icon to load the session)
