Manage players

This article provides information on managing players using the PitcheroGPS Team App

Overview

The team's players will be added to your PitcheroGPS web app prior to you receiving your kit.

Coaches can add new players to the team in the web app. Once added to the team, the player can be allocated a PitcheroGPS tracker unit.


 

Add a new player

Add an individual player

Step-by-step guide:

  • Load the PitcheroGPS Team App on your Windows/Mac desktop
  • Select the team from the drop-down menu (if your organisation has multiple teams)
  • Click 'Players' from the left menu (running icon on the collapsed menu)
  • Click '+' next to Players at the top of the screen
  • Enter the player's details; first name and last name
    • Other details are optional
  • Click 'CREATE'

The player will be added to the team, ready to be assigned a tracker ahead of a session.

Upload a team sheet file

Step-by-step guide:

  • Load the PitcheroGPS Team App on your Windows/Mac desktop
  • Select the team from the drop-down menu (if your organisation has multiple teams)
  • Click 'Players' from the left menu (running icon on the collapsed menu)
  • Click 'TEMPLATE' to download the team sheet template
    • Choose the CSV or XLSX file format
  • Enter the players' details following the format in the template
  • Return to the PitcheroGPS Team App and click 'TEAM SHEET' at the top of the Players screen
  • Choose the file from your desktop

The players will be added to the team


 

Edit a player

Step-by-step guide:

  • Load the PitcheroGPS Team App on your Windows/Mac desktop
  • Select the team from the drop-down menu (if your organisation has multiple teams)
  • Click 'Players' from the left menu (running icon on the collapsed menu)
  • Click '>' (right arrow) next to the player's name
  • Edit the player's details

Tip:

By default, tracker numbers are based on the placement of the trackers in the dock, and initials based on the players' first and last names.

An admin or coach can manually update the tracker number and/or player initials on the edit a player workflow above.

Once any changes have been made, the admin or coach will need to connect the dock to the Team app, scan, and sync with trackers.


 

Remove a player

Step-by-step guide:

  • Load the PitcheroGPS Team App on your Windows/Mac desktop
  • Select the team from the drop-down menu (if your organisation has multiple teams)
  • Click 'Players' from the left menu (running icon on the collapsed menu)
  • Click '>' (right arrow) next to the player's name
  • Click 'REMOVE PLAYER'
  • Click 'Confirm' in the overlay

The player will be removed from the team

Please note:

When a player is removed from the team, it will remove the session data associated with that player.

If the team wishes to retain the session data, the player needs to remain with the team on the Team app.

    • The organisation can manage multiple teams on the Team app. If a player plays in multiple teams, they will need to be added separately per team.
