Understanding performance metrics
The article provides information on using the PitcheroGPS Team App to understand and use performance metrics.

Overview
There are a number of performance metrics available to analyse within the PitcheroGPS web app.
For reference, all time measurements are displayed in hours and minutes (HH:MM) and all speed-related metrics are displayed in kilometres per hour or metres per second.
Performance metric definitions
| Performance metric | Description |
|
Session length (HH:MM) |
The total length of the recorded game or training session. |
|
Distance (km and m) |
The total distance covered during a recorded game or training session. |
|
Default speed zones (kmph or m/s) |
Brackets for each speed zone:
|
|
Max speed (kmph) |
The maximum speed achieved by an individual player in a session that was maintained for a minimum 0.5 seconds. |
|
High Speed Running (HSR) count |
The number of times the player exceeded the team's HSR threshold and maintained this speed for a minimum of 0.5 seconds. |
|
High Speed Running (HSR) distance (m) |
The distance the player covered while exceeding the team's HSR threshold for a minimum of 0.5 seconds. |
|
Accelerations |
The number of times an individual player accelerated over the specified metres per second squared threshold (m/s²). |
|
Decelerations |
The number of times an individual player decelerated below the specified metres per second squared threshold (m/s²). |
|
Impacts |
The number of times an individual tracker recorded a g-force greater than the specified threshold. In practice, this would pick up heavy tackles and landings, to help with injury prevention. |
